The Girls Track and Field team placed 5th at last week's Best of the West. Gracelynn Durkin captured 1st and 3rd place finishes in the throwing events, while Jalyn Gribben was 2nd in the shot put and Maddie Glacken 3rd in the discus. Also finishing 3rd was Kaylie Holbert in the pole vault, and the 4x800 meter relay of Carmen Kugler, Layna Issler, Lana Connelly, and Grace Kohls. Other scorers for the girls were Madilyn Scudder, Evie Freel, and Savannah Davison.
On Friday night, Natalie Kiefer got a chance to compete against some of Ohio's best distance runners as she competed at the Angela Bizzarri Mile at Mason High School. Natalie finished 3rd, and in the process shattered her 1600 meter school record with a time of 4:48.70. This is the 3rd fastest 1600 time in the State, and 26th best all-time in Cincinnati!
The Boys Track and Field team placed 3rd at last week's Best of the West Meet. 1st place finishes were picked up by Jorden Thompson in the pole vault and Josh Basich in the shot put. Finishing in 2nd were Jayden Thompson in the 400 meter dash, Addisen Kohls in the 1600 meter run, and the 4x800 meter relay of James Kirby, Addisen Kohls, Rory Summers, and AJ Willis. Jacob Dearwester was 3rd in the shot put. Other scorers for the boys were Grant Meibers, Jay Vogel, Adrian Avent, Cole Koops, Wyatt Warrington, Cooper Ives, Jefferson Paguada, Jacob Warren, Mason Richardson, Mason Barnes, and Jack Stroud.
Both the boys and girls will compete for the SWOC Championship on the home track tomorrow. Come on out and support these great athletes as they compete for a league title.
